after the wonder that was pulled pork, some were questioning what would be next – the answer, my friends, is hot dogs. or at least, it should be!
dogs’n’dough is fairly new on the manchester scene but i can see it becoming a huge hit.
we went in on saturday lunch, pre-cinema. it was relatively quiet but soon picked up, with a real mixture of groups, mainly women and a few families (who deserve massive kudos for getting their kids on such a good eating path.)
the menu is fairly simply, with only a few options, though you can add extra toppings to anything for £1. i almost went for the chilli dog, but after much deliberation chose the meat monster pizza – pastrami, smoked ham, pepperoni and crispy bacon.
yes, it tasted as good as it looks. i thought the base was pretty perfect, with a great crisp on the crusts, and the toppings worked really well together. well, you can’t go wrong with a tonne of meat.
the boyf’s ADB (all day breakfast, at the back of the snap above) was a frank topped with bbq beans, crispy bacon and a poached egg. oh yes good readers, a poached egg, which he actually ate very gracefully.
the cheesy fries were pretty congealed just the way i like them, but obviously not to everyone’s taste! we had them with some frank’s hot sauce, one of the many chilli sauces they have on offer.
